The table below shows the percentage of the population who rode bicycles in one town by age group in 2012.
The given table details the surveyed information depicting the proportion of different genders of different age groups who rode bike in any given town in the year 2012.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that females led the whole distribution across all the given age groups. Although the population of all the ages loved cycling, the youngest group claimed the highest proportional rate.
According to the given illustration, among both the genders, the majority of females liked biking. About 52.5% of girls in the age group 0 to 9 were reported as opposed to 51.2% of young boys. Also, under the teenage group, nearly two-fifths of females went for cycling, which was much higher than the boys(25.1%).
In addition, with regard to adults, 7.4% more females preferred biking over just 10.8% males. Further, despite the fact of aging love for cycling didn't vanish. In the age group 40 until 59, 3.4% fewer men participated as against 13.7% women. Lastly, in the senior category, a significant rise was witnessed as compared to the adult's percentage, where 19.8% of females showed interest, while men fell behind by 4.2%.
