The table compares the numbers of five different types of transport which were registered in Australia in the year 2010, 2012 and 2014
It is clear that there was an increase in the number of all types of vehicles registered over the period. While passenger vehicles were the most common choice in three years, the registration of motorcycles witnessed the most significant climb in the number.
In 2010, 11.8 million passenger vehicles were registered, while the figure for commercial ones was significantly lower with 2.3 million. The figures for both of them increased from this year onwards, and reach 13 million and 2.7 million respectively.
The number of motorcycles' registration in 2010 was 540 thousand, which increased dramatically more than 30% and stood at 709 thousand 4 years later. Heavy trucks and light trucks were recorded 384 million and 106 million o registration in 2010, then rose 8.3% and 23.5% respectively at the end of the period.
