Table (The price of a cup of coffee in six cities from 2010 to 2014 in Australia).
The table gives information about the fluctuation of coffee prices in six major cities in Australia between 2010 and 2014.
In general, it is apparent that while the price of a cup of coffee remained stable in Brisbane during the examined period, other areas experienced greater increases in price. Melbourne, one of the thriving metropolitans in Australia, was notably making the most dominant profits for coffee consumption.
Looking at the table, starting at nearly $2.4 in 2010, Melbourne quickly took the lead with significant growth at $2.9 after four years, making up more than a quarter of the coffee price. On the contrary, Sydney, known as the most prestigious city in Australia, stood at the highest coffee price, approximately $3 at the beginning before witnessing a slight rise to over $3 in 2014. This figure accelerated the price rate of coffee to more than one in ten.
Meanwhile, both Canberra and Adelaide were undergoing fairly the same price in 2010 and then going up to around $2 in the next 4 years. There generated an average improvement, of 6.25 percent for the former, and 6.95 percent for the latter. It is noticeable that only Brisbane showed the level-out price for the whole period, accounting for $2.25.
