The table shows the amount of money given in aid of technology of
developing countries by charities in the US, EU and other countries from 2006
to 2010.
The table illustrates how much money charities had donated to developing countries by the US, EU and other countries to support technological development in 5 year period from 2006.
In generall, it is clear that there was a significant increase in total donated money throughout the years. Nevertheless, a slight decrease in the amount of money was witnessed in other countries in 2009.
There was a significant increase in the total aid given, from $15.7 billion in
2006 to $24.3 billion in 2009, rising sharply to $30 billion in the following
year. Looking at the US, the giving money started off at $9.7B in 2006 and rose gradually to $10.5B and $13.5B in 2007 and 2008, respectively. This figure increased dramatically to $18B in 2009 and reached a peak of $22.7B in 2010.
In EU countries, charities donated $3.3B in 2006 and then aid grew slowly to $3.8B in 2008, followed by a slight decrease in the next year before rising again to reach $4B in 2010. The similar trend was also witnessed in other countries, donations went up from $2.7B in 2006 to $3.3B at the end of the period.
