The table illustrates the number of jungle by millions of hectares in various areas on Earth over a period of 15 years.
Overall, It is clear that Asia and Europe experienced upward trends while others witnessed downward trends in the number of forested land between 1990 and 2005.
The number of jungle in each region differed significantly. In 1990, The region with the biggest forestland was Europe. About 989 millions hectares in the number of jungle and increased significantly to reach a peak of 1001 millions in 2005. Similarly, there was a slight rise in the number of forestland in Asia over the same period. On the other hand, the least number of jungle was in Oceania, with 199 millions of hectares. This number has dropped slightly to 197 millions in 2005.
In Africa and South America areas, there was a sharp fall in the number of forestland from 1990 to 2005 while the number of jungle in North America was declined from 1990 and 2000. This number remain stayed between 2000 and 2005.
