This table shows how many people (in millions) used different form public transport in Milan between 2010 and 2014
The table compares the numbers of people using different means of transport in Milan from 2010 to 2014.
It is evident from the given table that there was a upward trend in the transport passengers during the period of 4 years. Furthermore, while metro was by far the most enjoyable mode of transport, the number of people using taxis was considerably low.
In 2010, 3 millions people chose to travel by metro, which was the largest number in comparison with others, followed by a steady increase to 5 millions at the final stage. Taxis, on the other hand, gained the least popularity, from only 0.6 millions users to 1 millions after 4 years period.
In terms of trains and trams, although there was a similar numbers of passengers at the initial year at around 1.3 millions, after 4 years, train passengers amounted to 3.6 millions, whereas that of trams was just 2.2 millions. People chosing to travel by buses also witnessed a rise throungout 4 years period, from exactly 1 millions in 2010 to 2.1 millions in 2013, which overtook that of trams, and then had reached 2.4 millions by the final year surveyed.
