The tables below show the reasons for travelling and the main issues for the travelling public.
The first table lists the major causes for travelling as told by different age groups while the second table shows the problems faced by these during their journey.
Overall, visiting friends and family and going to social events was more famous among young people whereas older generation mostly travelled for work. Secondly, young people were more worried about cost of travel and highway congestion while older people had higher concerns about safety.
40% of the individuals between 10-20 years chose to travel to visit their friends and family, while 35% did it to go to recreational events which was on average 7 times more than the rest of the age groups. People aged 21-30 years went outside mostly to commute to work at 52%. Similarly all those between 31 till 50 years also had work commute as their highest reason to travel.
As for the problems experienced by these travelers, the biggest one for people between 21-35 years of age was highway congestion at 51%. Whereas people between 36 till 75 years of age were more concerned for their safety while travelling, as much as 10 times more than the younger generation.
