task 1: Number of Indian restaurants in the UK.
The bar chart shows the number of Indian restaurants in the UK between 1960 and 2015. Generally, there is a marked change in the number of Indian restaurants in the UK between 1960 and 2015. In 1960, we can see that the number of Indian restaurants in the UK is only about 500. Besides, in 1970 and 1980, it increased significantly (about 1000 and about 3000). However, starting from 1990 we can see that the number of Indian restaurants in India has increased quite a bit compared to 1960, namely more than 5000 restaurants in 1990. Since 1997 the number of restaurants is quite similar and has not increased as much as in previous years, in the three years from 1997 to 2000 the number of restaurants is still around 8000. This is similar for the rest of the years, from 2007 to 2015 the number of restaurants seems to be equal (about 9000 to 10000 restaurants).
Overall, the growth rate of Indian restaurants in the UK is quite fast and has undergone many changes over the years.
