The pie charts, illustrates the changes occured to the annual expenditure of a school in the United Kingdom during 1981,1991 and 2001.

Overall, it can be seen that, the highest spending during the years was on teachers salaries. The lowest spending was on insurance during the period.

To, begin, in 1981, out the the total school spending, two-fifths was on teachers salaries and 28% was on other workers salaries. Spending on resources and furniture and equipments was similar, at 15%°. The lowest spending was on insurance(2%). In 1991,the spending on teachers salaries rose to 50%, whereas, spending on other workers salaries declined(22%). The spending on resources rose to a fifth, while the figures for furniture and equipments decreased(15%). By contrast, insurance spending only rose to a percent.

Secondly, in 2001, there was 5% decrease in the spending in teachers salaries(45%). Decreased spending was also seen in other workers salaries and on resources, to less than a fifth and to 9%, respectively. Finally, the spending on insurance and furniture and equipments rose, to 8% and 23%, respectively.
