The maps below show a bookstore in 2000 and now. Summaries the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The map illustrates how a bookshop has changed now after some developments.
Overall, it is clear that while fiction and non-fiction sectors have undergone significant modifications, some facilities remain unchanged.
As can be seen from the map, the fiction bookshelves form an L shape and also occupy the largest space of the bookshop compared to others in 2000. However, the fiction area on the left side of the bookstore is reduced significantly in size to make way for Art, hobbies, and cookery. Meanwhile, the travel, new books regions, which are situated near the entrance, and service desk have experienced no change and still exist in the same positions at the present.
Art, hobbies, and cookery sectors (located at the central zone in 2000) are now replaced by tables and are relocated to the place mentioned above. Moreover, a new café is opened up on the original site of non-fiction. Therefore, the fiction area, which is at the back of the bookshop, is demolished to make space for non-fiction.
