The two maps illustrate the difference of an island before and after the installation of tourist facilities. Over the time period, the island was totally redeveloped.
Before the development, the island, like a barren place was dotted with some palm trees in the west and east of the island. Also, there was a beach in the west of the island.
However, the island witnessed a dramatic change after some facilities were installed. Six accommodations surrounding the palm trees were located in the west of the island, while in the center of the island were nine lodges built in an oval pattern. Between the two accommodations was a reception with a restaurant being in its north. A pier connected with a vehicle track was built on the south coast of the island, providing access to the reception, restaurant and the accommodations. Footpaths were paved around the cabins, with one of the footpaths leading to the beach where people could go swimming.
