The given maps illustrate the reconstruction of the road system that took place between 2007 and 2010.
Overall, over the 3-year period, the area witnessed dramatic changes. The two road intersections were reconstructed into roundabouts. One more car park was added. There were no other changes in landscape and buildings.
Considerable changes were made to the road structure. In 2007 City Road, Hospital Rd and Ring Road used to cross in simple intersections. Six bus stops were located along the Hospital Road. However, during the development, the crossroads were turned into roundabouts and a large area to the left of the Hospital Rd was allocated to a bus station, to which access could be gained from both roundabouts.
Parking space was extended during the period. If in 2007 there was an only car park, which combined parking spots for both hospital staff and public and was located along the hospital road to the south of the building, in 2010 the new large parking space was added to the left of the city hospital. Thus, the functions of the car parks were reassigned, making the old one intended for staff only and the new one - for the public.
