The two pie charts below illustrate the online shopping sales for retail sectors in Canada in 2005 and 2010, and the data is measured in percentage. Overall it can be seen that the significant increase was food and beverage than followed by video games.
In 2005, it was apparent that the electronics and appliance sector accounted more than a third of the online shopping sales, and it was the highest proportion for retail sector in Canada in 2005 then followes by food and beverages, there was the second largest percentage of online shopping sales. It got 22%, during five-year period the most popular sector of online shopping sales in Canada had dropped by one in twenty while the second largest percentage was maximum increase in five-year period.
In 2010 home furnishing sector occupied less than a fifth of the online shopping sales, it was the smallest percentage. Difference video game as the second popular sector was 23%, online sales of video games was slightly increased by one in twenty during five-year period while the home furnishing sharply fallen by one in ten.
