Weakness of English language among students in Yemen
English language is deemed to be a fundamental requirement of the modern era.Therefore, Governments must spend much money and place a great bugdet in order to acheive a good education in English language for the students.
Moreover, It is an international language that connects the world and opens horizons in different fields of life.
In Yemen, people are not seriously taking care of English language which due to a miserable level in English language .
Consequently, Many reasons can cause such a major problem, like :
1- Lack of real interest and misconcept of some families.
2- Absence of the role of the ministry of education.
In order to execute this problem, government-in cooperation with the ministry of education-must :
1- Establish intensive courses in English language- in the summer vacation- for the students.
2- Oraganize competitions in best English speaker.
3-Teach English language from early stages -from the first year of the elementary school or even from the KG- and pay attention to renewing the curriculum.
To sum up, I believe that this problem must be taken into consideration from those who have the authority and the power to make a change.
