UK has largest female member in the parliament and there is gradual rise from year 2000 to 2004 (27 to 39 approximately). Whereas, there is significant hike in female parliamentary member in France. It has raised significantly from 2000 to 2008 and has steady rise from 2008 to 2014. With the significant rise France still has lowest parliamentary women member.
It is apparent that UK has highest and France has lowest female parliamentary member. However, Germany can be ranked on second position for having second largest female in parliament with steady rise. Belgium has third largest female members in parliament and the rise in member is gradual. Whereas, Italy has most consistent rise in female member from 2000 to 20012 (20 to 25) and has third largest women member in parliament.
In summary, four of the European country; Germany, France,Belgium and UK have increasing percentage of female parliamentary member. Nation like UK and France have highest and lowest female member respectively. Italy and Belgium are has consistent and steady rise in female member respectively. As a whole, the line graphs elucidate rise in female parliamentary member and make clear about increasing percentage of female in power which is exceptionally good for women empowerment.
