You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The pie graphs below show the result of a survey of children’s activities. The first graph shows the cultural and leisure activities that boys participate in, whereas the second graph shows the activities in which the girls participate. Write a report describing the information shown in the two pie graphs. Write at least 150 words.
The pie charts provide information on the cultural and leisure activities that children from both genders indulge in.
Overall, the genders both have a diversity of activities for leisure purposes. Most boys prefer playing online games, whereas dancing is the most popular leisure activity among girls.
As depicted, the percentage for games tops the boys' chart with approximately 35. Meanwhile, reading is the least chosen pastime, with just 2%. The second favorite leisure activity is basketball, with nearly 10% less than the highest percentage. Other categories, namely soccer, listening to music and skateboarding, have percentages ranging from 10% to 20%.
In contrast to the boys' data, dancing dominates the girls' chart, with 27%, following it is reading with more than one in five of the statistics. Moreover, the data on listening to music is the only similarity when comparing the charts because boys and girls tied with 10%. Nevertheless, the data for skateboarding is equal to that for gymnastics, with 11%. Regarding games, they are not leading the chart for girls because their portion is half less than that of boys. In terms of netball, its ratio compared with the soccer ratio is nearly the same.
