The table and charts below give information on the police budget for 2017 and 2018 in one area of Britain. The table shows where the money came from and the charts show how it was distributed.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The graphs depict the data about the sources provided for the police fund and how they were used in three different categories in 2017 and 2018.
In general, the total financial sources contributing to the police budget increased, and the financial distribution for paying for officers and staff decreased while that for technology increased over the time given.
Looking at the table, we can see that the total financial providing for the policies had a significant growth from 307.7m in 2017 to 318.6m in 2018, in which the National Government supplied the largest amount of money compared to the two remaining countries in both two years given, at 175.5m in 2017 and 177.8m in 2018. The local tax revenue ranked second, which grew slightly from 91.2m in 2017 to 102.3 in 2018. Similarly, other sources rose from 38m in 2017 to 38.5m in 2018.
Regarding the pie chart figures, most of the money was used to pay salaries for officers and staff. And it declined considerably from 75% in 2017 to 69% in 2018. In contrast, there was a significant drop in the amount of money provided for technology, from 14% in the first year to 8% in the second year of the survey. At that time, the financial investment in buildings and transport remained constant at 17%.
