The diagrams below show the design for a wave-energy machine and its location.

The diagrams classify the wave-energy machine design and where it located. Overview, it is clear that a wave-energy machine has two chambers; one is under the water and the other one is above the water. And, it also has two optional locations depend on wave size and output.

Firstly, the wave direction rises the level of water inside the chambers. Then, the water streams and flows through the second chamber which has the turbine-powered by an electricity generator. At the same time, the machine transforms the airflow into the water in a second chamber by using a turbine.

According to locations, it depicts two kinds of wave-energy machines; the large waves machine locates deep water with high production and costs, while the small waves machine locates in surface water with low production and costs.
