This chart provides data about persantage of girls and boys who were enrolled in different stages of school education. The highest number of girls were learned in developed countries on the last years of studying in 1998 year. While the lowest index was achieved in developing countries in the same year and educational part.

To go more into details, in 1990 and 1988 the quantity of girls stayed the same if we talk about developed countries and middle school. In addition, the number of female students was lower in developing countries in the same time and part of studying. Nevertheless, girls were also actively enrolled in primary education in such countries as USA, UK, Canada and many others.

To sum up, there were a bit more girls enrolled in studying than boys. Especially in developing countries.
