The two bar charts give information on the destinations of graduates and postgraduates excluding full-time work in the UK in the year 2008.
Overall, most students in Britain chose to continue their studies while voluntary work was the least popular choice. Plus, it is clear that the number of graduates was higher than that of postgraduates.
In 2008, nearly 30000 graduates pursued further studies. The number of people with part-time jobs was roughly half of that, at about 18000, compared to slightly over 16000 students who were unemployed after graduation. Meanwhile, the figure for voluntary work was considerably lower, at 3500 people.
Looking at the second graph, it seems that the figures for postgraduates follow a similar pattern. To be more specific, the most popular choice was also further study, at 2725 postgraduates, followed by part-time work with about 2530 people. The figure for unemployment was lower, at approximately 1600 students. Voluntary work remained the least chosen choice as only 345 postgraduates were volunteers at that time.
