A friend has agreed to stay in your flat (apartment) and look after it while you are away. You want to give your friend some information about the flat.
Write a letter to this friend. In your letter:
Give information about the flat
Provide any important instructions
Say what he/she should do if there are any problems
Dear John,
I am writing to thank you for looking after my apartment while I am gone for the holidays this coming weekend; I knew I could count on you for important matters.
There are some things I wanted you to know before you move here temporarily. For instance, the flat is on the 1st floor so you will not have any problems going up and down every day. Also, the apartment complex has ample parking space and you would not have to worry about parking your truck.
I have already notified the apartment union and close neighbors about your temporary stay. There have been a number of burglaries in the past month so you have to remain vigilant of trespassers. Do not forget to secure all door locking mechanisms which I installed last month.
There is a first-aid box in case of minor medical emergencies in my room. If there is a fire incident, please find two fire extinguishers in the storage room but only use them if you really believe the fire could be controlled, otherwise, save yourself first.
I hope you will enjoy your stay. Should there be an accident or emergency, notify me on my mobile number.
Regards,
<br>
