A friend who lives in another country has invited you to came and stay with him/her on your next holiday. You are too busy to accept the invitation. Write a letter to your friend
In your letter.
• Thank him/her for the invitation
• Explain why you cannot come
• Ask him about other times to visit

Dear John,

I am writing this letter to thank you for inviting me to stay with you for the upcoming holiday. It's really kind of you but unfortunately, I won't be able to come because of my hectic work schedule.

Let me explain my situation in more detail. As you already know, I recently started a new job and also leading a major project. The release date of this project is in three weeks and I have to work around the clock. This assignment is really important for creating a good impression in a new organization.

Could you please let me know about some other time when you will be free? I would love to visit your new house and it's been a long time since I met your parents. I am free next month and can plan a vacation in the first week of next month because of a long weekend.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Your friend,
ABC
