The line graph illustrates the proportion of Americans using radio and television throughout the day in 1992.
It is clear from the graph that the highest percentage of audiences using radio is around 9 am and the highest proportion of people using television is around 8 pm.
Within 6 a.m and 9 a.m, the number of audiences using radio increased significantly from 5 percent to 30 percent. Compared with that, the period within 10 a.m and 3 pm witnessed a rapid drop in the percentage of people using radio from 30 percent to 10 percent. Next, between 4 pm to 6 am, there was a period of slight volatility from 15 percent to 5 percent
Compared with radio audiences, the number of television users seems to be larger. From 6 am to 4 pm, the percentage of people using television fluctuated quickly from 0 percent to 15 percent. Within 4 pm to 8 pm, the number of television audiences continued to rise suddenly from 15 percent to almost 50 percent. However, the time within 8 pm and 6 am witnessed a dramatic fall from 50 percent to 5 percent.
