How to improve listening and speaking skill, even vocabulary
Dear Anne,
How are you today? I have read your previous letter and i think i can give you some advices on practicing english skills. I tried these methods, so i hope it suit for you.
About listening, it used to be a difficulty for me. my listening skill was so bad that i was scared of it every time my class had an exam. then, i unintentionally see a post on the internet on how to improve this skill. they recommend some websites and youtube channels for me, such as: coursera, prep, testbig, ted talks, ted-ED, etc. I decided to choose ted talks as my method. There are many oratories of famous orators with two languages at the same time. The subtitle is available on the video therefore it's ever so easy to follow, except on thing, they sometimes speak too quickly to follow. But this is trivial because you can stop the clip and read the sub, then putting down new words that you learn from the talk. this will improve your vocabulary at the same time. so convenient, right?
The second is speaking. prep will be a good choice. In this website, a great deal of ielts test and training for all levels is appreciated by learners. If you don't have time to practice speaking with your friends, you can do it with prep, a virtual speaking room is always ready. you will be even fixed incorrect points.
And the last, vocabulary. As i say above, you can enhance it at the same time with listening. Otherwise, read english newspaper is also a good way. However, i think you should study a little new words day by day, so you are not overwhelmed. then using these word in your essay and speaking.
so, hope my advice has benefit
have a nice day
Vy
