Last month you had an overseas holiday with some friends where you stayed at their house. They have just sent you some holiday photos.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter:
thank them for the holiday and the photos
explain why you didn’t write earlier
invite them to come and stay with you
Write at least 150 words.
Dear Mike and Lea,
How have you been since we last were in touch? I hope you are still as lovely as you were in the past month.
Firstly I would like to thank you for the fabulous time I had staying at your place during my holiday. That was indeed a memorable time that now is also recorded in printed paper. By the way, thank you so much for sending me the file with the photos, Mike. I have done some portraits and spread them out over my house.
I am really sorry for not writing you before. I hope you understand that I got extremely busy trying to catch up on work since I extended my vacation in almost a week to spend more time celebrating Lea’s birthday.
Before I forget, my birthday is also soon and I would be very glad if you guys could show up for my party. It would be beyond expectations, having the chance to give you as much as you have given me. I promise you will have a nice room with the most desired sight of the History Bridge from your balcony.
Hoping to have a ‘yes’ when you reply.
All the best,
Lais
