The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
There are 2 maps of small town called Islip that one of them is for now, and the others show the changes that will be executed in the Islip.
At first all the Islip is summarized in the main road and shops that are located in its environment. At the east side of town, we see a park and at the opposite of it, it is a school. As it is obvious from the first map there are long distance between school and the park that could take a lot time for transporting, as geographically they are near!
So in the 2nd map, that show the development of the town, it has been decided to create new road way between school and park that could decrease the traffic on the main road. Also, they change the last main road to pedestrian way, that make less busy in shop centers. And instead of that they make new road that goes on the top the town, I mean country side.
In the suggested map, there are more facilities related to the transportation. They planned precisely to make it more easily.
All the upward shops are gathered in the one center shopping, so bus station and an extra place for car parking has been created. Also, there are some extra places that had been used for expanding the town's houses.
