the maps below show the changes that have taken place at the seaside resort of Templeton between 1990 and 2005.

The two maps illustrate how a coastal resort in Templeton transformed over a fifteen-year period from 1990.
Overall, the area underwent noticeable changes in terms of residential facilities and transport infrastructures.
As can be seen from the maps, the western side of the river saw the reduction of trees and individual houses from 1990 to 2005. A remarkable number of trees were cut down to make way for high buildings and a new supermarket. Moreover, apartments emerged to replace single dwellings, which leads to increased migration.
The east side of the river experienced less dramatic transformation while the school and hospital remained unchanged over the given period. In the north-west of the school, an airport was built. Along with this transport-related development, there was an extension of the railway station and a ferry, in addition, which ran along the coastline. Ultimately, a factory also sprang up to the south-east of station.
