On a recent holiday, you lost a valuable item. Fortunately you have travel insurance to cover the cost of the lost item.
Write a letter to the insurance manager.
In your letter:
describe the item you lost
explain how you lost it
tell the insurance company what you would like them to do
You should write at least 150 words.
You should spend no more than 20 minutes on this task
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to lodge an insurance claim for an item I recently lost while on holiday in Cyprus.
The lost item is a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. They were a limited edition with gold and leather detailing, and are valued at 300 pounds. I have enclosed the receipt and a photograph of the glasses for your reference. They are not only financially valuable, but they are also quite special to me as they were given to me by my fiance. The glasses fell off my head and into the sea while dolphin watching on a boat cruise.
I took out travel insurance on the 18th of February, just prior to my trip. I kindly request that your company reimburse me for the value of my glasses as part of my travel insurance so that I can replace the pair that I lost. My insurance number is 555 77 88.
Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully,
Caterina Cortes
