A restaurant has placed an advertisement for waiters and waitresses in your local newspaper.
Write a letter to the restaurant, applying for the job. In your letter:
• explain what you are currently doing
• describe your suitability for this area of work
• say when you can attend an interview
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to apply for the job advertised in The English newspaper. I find myself appropriate for this job since I possess all those qualities mentioned in the advertisement. I can show anytime but possibly not on Friday.
I am currently doing part-time job in a bank, and I have been doing this for the last one year. My job responsibility is to inform as well as guide visitors about latest policies the bank. I love and quite passionate to do this kind of job in which public dealing is involved.
Since I have been dealing with public for the last one year, I believe that I can handle public inquiries conveniently, and could also convey them information effectively. Secondly, my current experience of dealing with people of all ages would support me to perform the duty of waitress efficiently. Most importantly, I have been awarded a certificate of appreciation by branch manager of the bank.
I would like you to give me a chance to express my abilities in your restaurant. You can call me for conducting interview at any time which you think appropriate. However, it would not be possible for me to come on Friday due to a family event.
Thanks in advance for considering me. I am looking forward to having your reply in this regard.
Yours faithfully,
Syed.
