There has been a stereotype which existed long time ago that going to a place where English is widely spoken will provide pupils with the best technique of English instruction. Nevertheless, In my opinion, it is an efficient, yet not an optimal choice for them to meet.
On the one hand, studying abroad is an ideal approach to learn about other countries as spending time living in another country creates a golden chance for pupils to enhance their knowledge of other nations that differ from theirs . For starters, when studying overseas, it is paramount of importance that students acquire fundamental grammar to strike up a basic conversation with indigenous people. To cite an example, teenagers who study overseas tend to speak fluently their second languages or have the ability to learn languages more quickly than those who do not. Moreover, the exposure to various customs and languages can broaden young people’s horizon and open their minds.
Despite the practical benefits aforementioned, it is undeniable that only the affluent and privileged are willing to fork out extravagant money for their children going abroad. For impoverished individuals, with minimum wage, it seems beyond their reach. Not only money for flights and accommodation do pupils need to take into consideration but also for fundamental demands. Furthermore, culture shock as well as homesickness in the initial days possibly affect the process they acquire understanding. However, there are several ways to acquire this language. Firstly, with the advent of cutting-edge technologies, learners can access to their studying materials. The internet is updated every day from numerous sources, making it current and pertinent. Moreover, it also enables youngsters to connect with the local people in one English country effortlessly. Another remedy is learning through English programmes. In conclusion, due to the budgetary constraints, most students cannot study abroad. However, this has no bearing on their acquisition of knowledge as there are still a number of perfect substitutions, helping them learn about the world without leaving their country.
