The table below shows the salaries of secondary high school teachers in 2009

The table compares how much money secondary/high school teachers paid between five different countries, namely Australia, Denmark, Luxembourg, Korea and Japan in 2009.
Overall, it can be seen that the salary of teachers in Luxembourg was the highest in all three categories. In addition, in Australia and Denmark, it took lesser years for teachers to get to their highest number of earnings.
It is clear that the starting for teachers in both Korea and Japan were the lowest compared to the others, ranging from 28,500 to 30,500 US dollars. However, these numbers climbed up dramatically in the yearly salary after 15 years, especially when they reached their highest earnings at 84,500 US dollars for Korea and 62,000 US dollars for Japan.
The initial salary for Australia and Denmark however were higher than Korea and Japan at 34,600 US dollars and 47,000 US dollars respectively. In contrast to this, while their maximum salary weren’t as many as Korea and Japan, it would take more years for Korean and Japanese teachers to get to their top earnings. Additionally, 37 years for Korea and 34 years for Japan.
