A while ago you have lent a friend a suitcase, which he/she has not returned yet. Write a letter to him/her reminding to bring it back and say
- What suitcase and when dud he/she borrow it?
- Why do you need it back?
- What should he/she do about it?
Dear Mike,
How have you been?. it has been a long time since we last met. I am writing in regards to remind you to return the suitcase which you borrowed from me last year.
To elucidate last year in November you borrowed a black leather suitcase which you required for travelling purpose. The suitcase was gifted to me by my fiancee and had travelling stickers on the front and the rear. I lent it to you when we stayed together in an apartment last year and it has been almost three months now.
As you are aware that I have changed jobs and the new role requires intense travelling so I need this bag as this piece of luggage is compact and is airline checkable which can make carrying my stuff easier.
Why don't you come over with Jane to my place this weekend to handover suitcase?. it will also be a great opportunity for our wives to get acquainted.
I look forward to your earliest response.
Yours loving
Derrick
