Write a letter to the environment officer in your area complaining about the garbage problem in your neighbourhood and say What is causing the problem Why is it bothering you Suggest a solution to rectify the problem

DEAR SIR OR MADAM,

I am writing to you to highlight an issue that has been causing a lot of problem in the locality. Allow me to elaborate.

I am a resident of Rose Avenue and have been residing in the locality for almost 25 years now. This is the first time in my period of stay I have come across a problem like this. The sweepers of the locality had an altercation with the security of the area and in protest have dumped the garbage throughout the colony.

As a result, this has led to the area smell like a dump yard and further, there has been rise in the insects breeding spaces. Further, if no solution is reached then there will be a lot of dengue cases being reported from the colony itself. There is a threat of impending health issues. Since, I am a resident of the colony it is my duty to make you aware of the health and sanitation issues of the colony as you can deal with them effectively.

Furthermore, I have tried to speak with the President of the Employees Association and it seems that there will be no resolution in coming days. As such, I request you to order the MCD department to appoint a special team for carrying out a cleaning operation within the locality to avert any danger.

I hope that a prompt action will be taken in the said regard.

Yours faithfully,
Brad Jason
