In this highly competitive job market, the proper age of an employee is always been a controversial point. Some people believe that mature age employees are more beneficial to a company, while others think that young bloods contributes more and hence are more beneficial to a company. Despite the fact that, nowadays companies give more importance to talent rather than the age factor, but it has always been a confusing scenario.
In one hand, experts believe that mature age employees have some standout advantages like experience to highlight their talent. Every employers look for an experienced person for their company, there are somethings that can only be learned by the continues experience. Moreover, experienced employees always know the drill, which means they know how to handle a stressful or unforeseen circumstances effectively. Furthermore, mature age persons always think differently when they face some challenges. Their approach is more or less sensible one rather than emotional.
On the other hand, young employees also have some advantages over experienced persons. Firstly, they are more energetic and they like challenges, because that's the right way of showcasing their talent to their employer. Secondly, they are more flexible in terms of technological aspect, youngsters are always familiar with new technologies in their work, even if they are not they always love to learn such technologies. Last but not least, according to the recent studies, it is found out that freshers are more team players as compared to experienced persons. New comers always want to work in team environment, they adapt that conditions easily. It is one of the unique features of younger employees, since companies nowadays promote team environment rater than individual working conditions.
To recapitulate, it is true that both kind of employees have their strong hold in their own areas, so it is very hard take a stand. It is mainly up to the employer and the nature of the job are the deciding factors when it comes to an employee's age factor.
