Dear Mr. Thomas,
I have recently agreed to rent your apartment and supposed to move there on the 1st of July. I am afraid I cannot do so in August due to a sudden family event. I am hoping that you would allow me to move into your flat at the beginning of August instead.
The problem is that I have to travel back to my home country India for my cousin's wedding since I got a personal invitation from his father. His father is my beloved uncle, and my presence is utterly important because I will be the head member of my family after my late father. And, I have to stay there for family rituals. Apart from this, I have been from home for at least two years. Thus, it would be a great chance to reunite with my family, friends, and relatives. I am not sure about how long I will be staying at my home, but it would not be for more than a month.
After coming back to town, I will be shifting to your apartment in the month of August due to the current situation came up. I hope you would understand this present busy time to spend with my family.
I look forward to seeing you on my return.
Yours faithfully,
Shwatank Bhasin
