You are getting married. Write a letter to an English-speaking friend to invite him/her to the wedding
Dear Jim,
Hope this letter finds you in radiant health and the best of spirits. I’m pretty excited to invite you to my wedding on the 23rd of April this year.
You would be surprised to know about the bride. Do you remember Jaya about whom I talked about during our last meet? Yes, both our family accepted our proposal, and as we are relatives, it didn’t take much effort to convince them.
So, we have planned for a traditional three-day Hindu marriage from 23rd to 25th of April. The first day would a reception where we’d invite all our guests to a party. I’ve arranged for a DJ so that we can dance and enjoy the moment together. On the following day, we will have the wedding in the early morning hours. The final day would be fun as we used to conduct some fun games to entertain the couple and the guest.
I strongly need your presence during this auspicious moment of my life. As you are researching Indian tradition and culture, I hope this would be an excellent opportunity to collect some interesting information.
I eagerly look forward to your presence.
Love,
Rajeev
