Dear Priya,
How are you? I hope you and your family are fine. As you are aware, I have received a scholarship to study at Toronto University for Masters in Technology. Though most of the expenses are covered under the scholarship, I would need money for some expenses which will be arranged only by working part-time. As I only know you from the country, I would like your help in this regard.
The course is for 16 months which covers two semesters and one final exam. My classes would start from 8am until 3pm Mondays through Friday from September 1st.
During my wedding last year, I utilised most of my savings in the function. Post the wedding, I had left my job in Mumbai as I wanted to complete my studies and work hard towards this scholarship. I will be carrying sufficient funds while I come to Toronto, but it would be used within 5-6 months. As my classes would be done by afternoon, I could work part-time at a cafe or a restaurant for the rest of the day. Also, I could look for some work opportunities during weekends.
Since you have been living in Toronto for the past 10 years, you could refer to me to a friend or other contacts for a part-time job. Nevertheless, you could connect me with a recruiter who could help me find a job.
I will look forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Khushbu
