You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
give details of your study plans
explain why you want to get a part-time job
suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear Sandra,
Hope you are doing well at your end. I would like to inform you that I got an admission in London School of Business in the 1 year MBA program and will be travelling to London in the first week of August. I am so happy and glad that we shall be living in the same city.
I would like to seek some help on the part-time jobs which are available for students. I would like to work part-time to run my daily expenses in London. I have heard that London is an expensive city. Part-time work will be useful not only to earn some bucks but also it will help to build my own network in the society.
When I was reading the university manual, I found that part-time jobs are available for students in the university website by login in the details such as name and mobile number. Unfortunately, I do not have a local mobile number yet in London and I can only take a sim card once I enter the country. I suggest you to please create an account in the university website with your number on my behalf and this would help in searching for a part-time job in the university campus.
See you soon
Ali
