You are studying in a large town where there are no leisure facilities for young people. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter:
Describe the problem
Make some suggestions for leisure facilities
Say why you think that these facilities will make the town a better place.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to draw your attention towards the dearth of recreational facilities for children in the Rock Town.

I am a student of Sheridan college and many youngsters are facing problems due to the shortage of leisure centres in the vicinity of the town, which forces them to travel to a close-by town to play sports or spend their free time indoor gazing at the screens.

I would like to recommend that the state authorities should construct a leisure complex near our college, which is on the Trafargar street or alternately the vacant land in the Central Park. The council also consider demolishing an old government-owned building on the London street and rebuilding it for this purpose.

This would encourage the youth to do exercise and take part in sports on a regular basis. Thus, the community will be able to develop a healthier city and the teenagers will leave their sedentary lifestyle and increase their social circle by meeting new friends.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,
Khang Do.
