Essay topics:

You borrowed an important textbook during the last term from a classmate. You now realize your classmate had returned home overseas and you still have the book.
Write a letter to him/her. In your letter:
• apologize for the mistake
• find out how important the book is to him/her
• say what you will do

Dear Mark,
Hope this letter finds you in the pink of your health. I am writing in regards to inform you that I still have the important text-book which I borrowed from you last week and forgot to return.

I would like to firstly thank you for lending me this book and I would like to apologize for this mistake as due to a busy schedule during the last semester I forgot to return it. To elucidate the textbook really helped me in my preparation for the last term examinations as it covered all the critical aspects of the subject in detail.

May I know how important this textbook is to you?.if it is important and you need it urgently then, in that case, I will mail it to your overseas mailing address if you can wait then in case you can collect it from me when your return back to college.

I look forward to your earliest response and seeing you soon.
Yours loving
Ben
