Dear Sir,
My name is Griffith and I am long-standing reader of your Magazine 'Wanderlust' . Recently, I have come across an article written about my town 'Darwin' in Australia which is factually incorrect and prompted me to write this letter. The said column heading is 'Darwin - Not Charles Darwin' published on 20 th April edition. It is not my intention to be condescending, as loving resident of my town, it's my duty to bring it to your attention. To point out, the flaw is, reporter mentioned that the city is not well connected by flights and connectivity is available only from surrounding airports like Sydney. However, it's totally incorrect and infact City is well connected by road, water and air-ways. Especially, if some one coming by air they can directly land into international airport where tickets are available from major cities all around the world like Dubai, Singapore and London.
Henceforth, it's my humble request, please verify the information before it's circulated. A travel based periodical such as yours should have first hand source before printed. Otherwise, the reputation earned from years will be at stake and it's really difficult to regain the status. Therefore, kindly enter details are accurate and cross-checked when they are edited. Enthusiastic travelers, who are subscribers of your journal, might get confused and land in unnecessary trouble. Further, reliable sources are now available on Australian government website if you want to cross-verify.
After explaining the graveness of the mistake, it only sounds logical to publish a correction newsletter along with apology note in your upcoming edition. Hitherto, ensure all information has genuine resource and gone through proof-reading before cover story is circulated.
Hoping my letter did not disappoint you and thank you in advance for supporting my active participation.
Yours Faithfully,
Griffith.
