Essay topics:

You have recently flown to another country on a business trip. You were satisfied with the flight, but didn’t like services at the airport. Write a letter to the airport manager.
In the letter, you should:
• Tell him/her your flight details
• Why you disappointed
• Suggest some improvements to the airport services.

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to express my frustration about my recent experience at the airport and hope that I may not encounter these problems in the future again.

My name is Salman Khan, and I traveled from Islamabad to Dubai through Thai Airways on February 27, 2019 at 7 PM. Flight number was TA 52K and my boarding pass number was UYTR67L.

The disappointment was related to the airport service. As I reached the airport at 5 PM, which was 2 hours early than the actual flight time, there was a long queue for security clearance at the main entrance. All passengers were humiliated there, just because there was only single walk-through-gate for checking. International airports usually have several gates for checking purpose. Although there were also a few more of them there, they were out of service; therefore, the travelers had to wait for almost 2 hours there. In addition, no one was present at the baggage wrapping area, and I had to take my luggage intact, without wrapping it.

In order to rectify the above problems, I would like to give some suggestions. Please be sure to do regular preventive maintenance of all walk-through-gates; this could be performed at night when there are usually few passengers travelling. Increase the number of gates also, so that the travelers would wait less in the queue. Furthermore, employ more than one person at the wrapping shop, this would not only make the process more efficient, but also avoid any inconvenience to the passengers due to the absence of an employee.

I hope that the highlighted issues would be resolved shortly.

Yours faithfully,
Salman Khan
