You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work.
write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,
Describe the situation
Explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
Say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Dear Sir Accomodation Officer,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of spirit. I am writing today with regard to the issue that I am having with my roommate.
I am a senior student taking up Academic English and I am currently staying at a twin room in the Hall of Residence Building II. Unfortunately, the person that I am sharing this accomodation with is a lead singer in a band. For the past 2 weeks, her band have been rehearsing in the vacant room next to ours for the upcoming school activity. Because of the noise that they are making, I have been having a hard time trying to study for the finals and finish my papers which is already due in 2 weeks.
If you would permit, I would like to request to transferred to a single accomodation as soon as there is an available room. As mentioned above, I am in my last semester, and lacking hours of sleep because of the unnecessary noises would not help me complete all of my requirements in time.
Hoping for you kind consideration and looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Joyce Jabonero
