You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,
• describe the situation
• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Dear Sir,
I am writing this to you to have your attention on a really important issue I am facing in my hostel room. Although, I am residing there for a year now, but the situation has gotten worsen these days. I really want you to address my issue, and provide me a substitute room to stay as soon as possible.
As you are well aware of the fact that I am sharing a room with my class mate John, who is also a music student. However, I have no issues with his subjects are area of interest but some of his habits can cause real damage to my progress at college. For instance, He is fond of playing very laud music during evening hours which really disturbs my work routing and the schedule of entire day. It distracts my thoughts, so that I feel difficulty at learning my lessons. Moreover, the noise is also disturbing my sleep patterns. Do you think I can perform well academically, in such type of environment?
I am not asking for a single person room, because I know it has some different criteria. So, I request you to provide me a substitute accommodation which would have been shared by some science student. In this way I can have a noise free environment.
I am pretty sure that you will keep my request into consideration and provide me with better room I the hostel.
Sincerely Yours
Robert
