You own an old item that you think is valuable and would like to sell. Write a letter to the owner of an antique’s shop. In your letter
• explain how you found the shop
• describe the item that you would like to sell
• say how much you would like to sell the item for
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter with regards to one of the table lamp of ancient times that I am willing to sell at your shop.
To begin with, please allow me to explain you how I came across your shop. As I am a great lover of collecting old coins, while surfing on internet I found the name of your shop. In fact, I was fascinated by the photo gallery available online. With the advancement of technology, it has now become easy to check the authenticity. Additionally, I enquired about your place in Google listing and found to be legitimate
As for the item, it is the 18th century lantern, 3 feet in height and is made up of copper that is joint to a brown wooden table. Above all, its incredible dazzling stone engraved on its body gives twinkling light when gets lighted. Not only it gives beautiful light but also it gives fantastic look when placed at the corner of the room. Also, the maintenance of the light has been kept on regular basis.
Besides, I am anxious to sell this lamp in not less than 2 lakhs rupees. I find the selling price worth it because of its existence till date.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Urvashi
