You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he / she should get a job.

Write a letter to this friend. In your letter

1. say why he / she would not enjoy going to college
2. explain why getting a job is a good idea for him / her
3. suggest types of jobs that would be suitable for him / her

Dear Mike,

As you are in a dilemma, I am writing to give my suggestion that whether you should join an institution or work for a company.

My two cents, join a company and earn money because you already have a three-year gap from studies and now you won't be having much interest to learn from books as you are not in a habit of reading any more. Consequently, you won't cherish college life.

Getting a job will give you practical exposure to what you have already learned during your graduation as you will get numerous opportunities to apply your knowledge. Additionally, earning bread and butter will make you independent and your parents proud. Thus it will add another feather to your hat.

I'd recommend you exploring and applying for the jobs in the finance sector which compliments your graduation degree. Not only you will find a finance job related but also it will be a piece of cake for you.

Looking forward to knowing about your decision.

Yours friendly,

Abhishek
