You rent an apartment and recently a new tenant moved in above you. This tenant’s behaviour is causing you a lot of problems. Write a letter to your landlord. In you letter
Describe what the new tenant is doing
Explain why it is disturbing you so much
Tell your landlord what you would like him/her to do about it
Dear Mr. Johnson,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction regarding the new tenant who rented the apartment last week.
As you know, the new tenant is a college undergraduate. He has been organizing weekend parties which run all right even on weekdays. This is exacerbated by two big dogs with the constant sound of their paws and feet.
This became a problem when my clients started complaining about it. My office work requires me to take the phone and video calls with the offshore management team. Such seamlessly loud noise making the meeting difficult to take part in. Although I have tried to convey this convenience to him, he refused to co-operate.
I would request you to please ask the society management to release an official notice to remind the tenant about the loud-music and pet policies. If he continues to do so, you can ask him to relocate to other residential areas.
Yours sincerely,
Apoorva Chikara
