Respected Sir,
This letter regards apologies for my unavailability to attend a scheduled interview on Sunday, 2nd Oct for Studying Economic course.
To begin with, I am Jack Nicolson with roll no - 3456A applying for the course of Economics in your reputed college. Unfortunately, my date of interview clashes with my mother's leg surgery which is quite a critical operation and I must be there to look after her.
Though I am quite honored on being called upon for this interview, however, I must offer you my apologies for not making it on the scheduled date and time as per the above-cited reason and request you to please reschedule to another day. I can also manage to come the same day but in the evening as hopefully, surgery would get over by then.
Furthermore, may I please confirm the duration of the interview? And should I be preparing for any other tests as well? Any feedback on the above would be very useful for me to prepare for the interview.
Finally, I really hope that you would reconsider the date of the interview because it is a decisive moment in my life as its paramount to my career and life.
