You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You and some friends ate a meal at a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, and you were very pleased with the food and service.
Write a letter to the restaurant manager. In your letter:
give details of your visit to the restaurant
explain the reason for the celebration
say what was good about the food and the service
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write your own addresses.
Begin your letters as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation of the excellent service in your restaurant which we had visited in the evening of 25 January. It was my birthday and I had invited many friends and relatives for a cocktail dinner. Everyone who was there liked your prompt service, the range of food and drinks, and taste of everything you served.
First of all, we were pleased with the ambience of the restaurant and the sitting arrangement you had made for us. The low and muted background music was very pleasing, and at the same time, it allowed us to have a conversation without requiring to speak louder. Your staff were also professional and were quick to take the orders.
We really appreciated how you managed to bring the right food to the right person. As some of the guests were vegetarian, I was worried that there could be a mix-up as the orders were really too many.
Finally, your complimentary non-alcoholic drinks were very sweet and we finished our dinner with great feelings.
I wish you all the best and success in your business.
Warm regards,
ABC
