You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.
Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment.
In your letter
- describe the problem with the equipment
- explain how this problem is affecting your work
- say what you want the shop or company to do
Dear Sir or Madam,
I’m writing with regards to overheating issue of my laptop, which causes sudden shutdown of the device. I have already raised several incident tickets. However, neither L2 nor L3 support was able to provide a sound support despite of the fact that numerous troubleshooting sessions were conducted. Moreover, no update was provided on the case for the last two days.
As I am a freelancer and work from home most of the time it affects my work tremendously. One time I got dropped from a very critical virtual meeting. Also, on several occasions the sudden shutdown disrupted my work while I was editing some documents and made me redo all the work again.
I am requesting immediate resolution of the issue. Moreover, if the problem cannot be resolved remotely and my laptop needs to be taken for further examination, a loaner equipment must be provided.
I look forward to your prompt response on further actions.
Kind regards,
Balzhan
